A precast concrete bumper measuring six feet long typically, or three feet long at a single stall, is anchored to a four-inch topping slab over waterproofing and structural concrete. The bumper is reinforced with two number three steel bars and features two seven-eighths-inch diameter holes located nine inches from each end. Two number six steel dowels, two feet long, extend through the bumper and into the structural concrete below. A continuous epoxy bond conforming to state division of highways specifications secures the underside of the bumper to the topping slab.
