A linear metal panel ceiling terminates at a framed soffit constructed of three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs faced with five-eighths-inch gypsum board. A one-and-a-half-inch perimeter angle provides edge support for the ceiling panels against the wall assembly. The bottom elevation of the metal panel ceiling is referenced to the reflected ceiling plan. The framing includes a five-and-a-half-inch vertical dimension layout for the perimeter condition.
