An aluminum door frame sits one-quarter inch proud of the tile finish, with the frame return finished on each side. The adjacent metal stud wall contains batt insulation and a one-inch gap, with five-eighths inch fire-retardant treated plywood and metal corner bead at the gypsum board edge. The glazed partition head connects to a six-inch box beam, utilizing a Dilex-Eke trim profile and one-half inch cement board. Sealant is applied all around each side of the aluminum door frame, and wall tile finishes are specified per the finish plans.
