A vertical transition at a floor slab edge where a concrete over metal deck assembly meets exterior metal stud framing and a scheduled window sill. The exterior assembly incorporates a liquid-applied membrane over gypsum sheathing, rigid insulation, and a six-inch metal stud sill plate with a half-inch clear space at the slab edge. Interior framing consists of three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs with top plates, scheduled ceilings finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board, and a wood soffit below.
