A twenty-gauge one-and-one-half-inch by one-and-one-half-inch continuous wall angle is secured to the wall with number ten self-tapping screws at each stud, providing a slip-joint bearing surface for the ceiling grid. A hanger wire supports the main runner with a saddle tie using number eighteen wire, positioned a maximum of eight inches from the wall. The first main runner intersection or support is spaced a maximum of six inches from each side.
