This assembly features a vertical wall framed with six-inch metal studs finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board. A horizontal soffit extends nine inches from the wall face, framed with metal studs and finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board on all exposed surfaces. The soffit edge is capped with a metal trim piece. All finish materials, including paint, are specified to be per the architectural plans and elevations. The bottom of the soffit elevation is referenced to the reflected ceiling plan.
