A semi-recessed non-rated fire extinguisher cabinet is installed within a cold-formed steel stud wall finished with five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board. Supplemental metal stud framing and blocking are provided around the perimeter as required by the cabinet depth. The cabinet is positioned such that the top of the handle is located a maximum of forty-eight inches above the finished floor to comply with accessibility requirements.
