Pipes penetrate metal deck profiles with specific maximum diameter limitations for top and bottom flutes while strictly prohibiting cuts to the deck webs. Openings spanning up to six diameters of the larger opening but not less than twelve inches each way require deck reinforcement per detail two when closer or larger than standard limits. The metal deck is specified per plan.
