A vertical steel stud nests directly into the runner track at the base of the wall assembly. The stud connects to the runner track using three-quarter inch number ten low-profile pan head sheet metal screws on each side. Powder-driven fasteners secure the runner track to the substrate, spaced at two inches from the ends, one inch at jamb conditions, and a maximum of twenty-four inches on center between.
