An intermediate floor slab consisting of a concrete topping over a corrugated metal deck bears on a structural steel wide-flange beam framing into a wide-flange steel column. The floor assembly is tied to the column flange with a bolted shear connection. An exterior wall assembly runs continuously past the floor level, supported by or interfacing with the structural frame.
