This parapet detail shows a TPO membrane roof transitioning up and over a parapet wall capped with a pre-finished metal coping. The TPO membrane wraps up the parapet to an 8-inch minimum height, adhered using manufacturer-recommended bonding adhesive and secured with fasteners having neoprene washers at 24 inches on center. The assembly is built over fire-retardant treated wood blocking at the top of the plate, with high-temperature self-adhered membrane flashing installed beneath the coping. The exterior wall features a metal wall panel system mounted on zee furring over exterior gypsum sheathing, with an air and water barrier and rigid insulation filling the wall cavity.
