An interior hollow metal frame interfaces with cold-formed metal stud framing at the head of a door opening. Joint sealant is applied on each side where the frame meets the wall finish material. The wall assembly consists of metal studs surfaced with board per the wall type schedule and plans. The hollow metal frame accommodates the door leaf specified in the door schedule.
