The shower wall assembly consists of a vapor retarder, backer board, and waterproof membrane finished with scheduled wall tile. The floor receptor is built over a reinforced mortar bed with a shower pan membrane, weep holes, and pea gravel or other weep protection, finished with scheduled floor tile. A flexible sealant fills the gap at the wall-to-floor junction. An ADA-compliant marble transition strip is provided at the threshold separating the shower floor from the adjacent finished floor.
