A roof expansion joint assembly crosses a steel deck. R-Control EPS insulation sits directly on the fluted metal deck and is topped with a reinforced membrane. An expansion joint support, comprised of sponge tubing and filler or a manufacturer-specified support system, bridges the structural gap. Fasteners and fastening plates secure the assembly at twelve inches on center. Cut-edge sealant is applied at the perimeter of the membrane.
