A built-up metal header spans a wall opening supported by back-to-back vertical studs at the jambs. The header track is connected to studs with number eight screws at twelve inches on center. Back-to-back jamb studs are also fastened together with number eight screws at twelve inches on center. A continuous top track connects to the floor slab above using zero point one eight zero inch power-driven shot pins at sixteen inches on center. A closure stud is provided at the opening jamb as specified in the schedule.
