This assembly features an electrically operated hydraulic dock leveler installed within a cast-in-place concrete slab, which is supported by a vapor retarder over compacted granular fill. The dock leveler is sloped per the manufacturer's specifications and sits adjacent to an overhead sectional door. A vehicle restraint system with an interlock sequence for the door and leveler is provided at the dock face. The exterior concrete dock pad is constructed over compacted granular fill and includes a trench drain as specified by civil and mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings. An expansion joint with sealant is installed at the transition between the dock pad and the building foundation, which consists of a cast-in-place concrete footing.
