This assembly details the transition between a concrete masonry unit wall and a floor slab, incorporating a concrete curb at the interior base. An expansion joint material is positioned between the floor slab and the concrete stem wall, as specified by structural drawings. The interior face of the CMU wall features an eight-inch epoxy finish with an integral coved base where required by the finish schedule, finished with a one-eighth-inch cover strip and sealant. A continuous acoustic sealant is applied at the interface of the concrete curb and the wall assembly. The exterior face of the CMU wall is protected by an exterior elastomeric coating.
