Two hollow structural section members meet at a corner above a diagonal gusset plate and an underlying hollow structural section post sized per framing plan. A field weld connects the internal diagonal plate to the corner framing assembly. The intersecting HSS framing members continue outward with dimensions sized per the framing plan.
