The partition head features a compressible slip track secured to the structure above with one-quarter-inch powder-driven fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center and two inches from ends. Wall studs remain free to move vertically within the slip track while being fastened at each side with number ten screws. Bridging runs continuously through the stud framing for lateral stability. The partition base anchors to the lower concrete slab using five-thirty-second-inch powder-driven fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center.
