Perimeter sealant is applied at each side of the gypsum board where it meets the metal stud framing assembly. The cold-formed metal framing is dimensioned with a one-inch flange width and a six-inch overall depth. Gypsum board panels terminate against the stud assembly with joints sealed continuously along the perimeter.
