A continuous backing plate ties the acoustical curtain wall designation CW-4 back to the stud wall assembly, with sizing detailed on sheet A542. Backer rod and acoustical sealant are applied to both sides of the curtain wall connection joints to maintain the acoustic seal, with a typical half-inch dimension clearance.
