A fibrous expansion joint separates the concrete floor slab adjacent to the door assembly, with the slab structure sized per structural drawings. A waterproofing membrane is applied beneath the slab and detailed with a five-eighths-inch drainage board with protection board. The concrete surface receives a sealed finish where the door occurs.
