A quarter-inch diameter safety rail runs along the front and back of the shelf at island bench conditions and on all four sides of heavy-duty shelving. The rod requires a tight fit with no caulking. Dimension spacings include three-eighths of an inch, one inch, and one-half inch offsets from the shelf edges.
