This interior wall detail features a wood trim casing installed over cold-formed steel framing and gypsum board. A five-eighths inch thick plywood blocking replaces a portion of the inner layer of the gypsum board interior wall assembly to provide a solid substrate for the wood trim casing. Five-eighths inch gypsum board is installed continuously elsewhere on the interior wall assembly. The acoustic wall assembly is noted as providing a two-hour fire rating where one-hour is required.
