Two-and-a-half-inch cold-formed metal studs are spaced four feet on center and offset from an exterior concrete wall using twelve-gauge bent plates. The bent plates are secured to the concrete wall with zero-point-one-four-zero-inch diameter shot pins. The stud offset varies based on insulation thickness, requiring a one-half-inch offset for R-eleven insulation and a one-inch minimum offset for R-thirteen insulation. Insulation thickness and placement are coordinated with mechanical drawings.
