This seismic bracing detail connects a splayed seismic bracing wire to the overhead structure using a minimum 5/16-inch diameter drill-in expansion anchor. A steel strap measuring 1 inch wide by 2 inches long and 12 gauge minimum is bent to align with the wire. The bracing wire is secured with four tight turns in 1 1/2 inches at a maximum 45-degree angle. The entire suspended ceiling bracing assembly complies with DSA IR 25-2, ASTM C635, and ASTM C636.
