This plan detail shows a two-hour rated partition intersecting a blind mullion of a curtain wall system adjacent to a glass fiber reinforced concrete panel. The assembly features a pre-finished aluminum window frame system with insulated glazing and window film extending from the mullion to an aluminum breakshape with snap-on trim. A one-inch by one-inch angle anchors the assembly near a three-inch caulked joint at the interior face. Two-way black tape at one-quarter inch thickness seals the transition between the aluminum breakshape and the mullion. Two-inch thick mineral wool safing with a minimum density of eight pounds per cubic foot wraps around the mullion, extending one inch beyond the fire safing to meet the rated wall finish.
