An acoustical hollow metal door frame is anchored into non-structural metal framing of a non-rated or one-hour rated partition assembly. The head and jamb details incorporate a specialized STC-rated door stop and continuous perimeter gasketing to maintain sound transmission class ratings. Acoustical and thermal insulation is packed within the stud cavity to reduce sound flanking paths around the opening. Wall finishes and scheduled ceilings coordinate with the frame perimeter per interior finish plans.
