A five-inch diameter extra-strong galvanized steel pipe stands plumb and is filled with concrete, capped at the top with a one-eighth-inch galvanized steel closure plate welded and ground smooth. The pipe base is welded with a five-eighth-inch fillet weld to a one-inch by twelve-inch by twelve-inch ASTM A572 Grade 50 galvanized embed plate. The assembly anchors into the top of a beam or grade beam using four seven-eighth-inch diameter welded headed studs with a ten-inch embedment, maintaining a minimum edge distance of twenty-four inches for all anchors.
