An acoustical panel ceiling edge meets a perimeter wall with a ceiling edge molding supporting the main or cross runner. A wire hanger suspends the runner at a specified distance from the perimeter closure angle, maintaining a maximum spacing of eight inches or within one quarter the length of the end runner. Perimeter wires are omitted when the end runner length is eight inches or less. Installation conforms to ASTM E 580 requirements.
