A single-piece cast-iron post supports a bench top and optional seat back. The post consists of a 2-1/4 inch diameter by 3/16 inch thick shaft with 6-inch diameter top and bottom flanges, spaced at a maximum of 6 feet on center. The base plate is anchored to the floor slab using four 1/2-inch diameter stainless steel Hilti KB-TZ2 expansion anchors with a 2-1/2 inch minimum effective embedment per ICC-ES ESR-4266. The bench top features a plastic laminate surface over a wood core, secured to the top post flange with four 1/4-inch by 1-1/4 inch lag screws.
