A door head condition within a cold-formed steel metal stud partition for openings up to 8'-0" wide. A continuous 20 gauge metal runner sits above a boxed metal stud header, which spans the door opening. Batt insulation fills the partition cavity behind the gypsum board layers. A hollow metal frame surrounds the door opening with sealant applied on both sides at the wall junction.
