This two-hour rated shaftwall assembly, designated under UL U415 System B, extends to 10 feet above finished floor. The framing consists of 4-inch 20-gauge minimum C-H metal studs spaced at 24 inches on center with 3.5-inch insulation placed between the studs. One-inch gypsum board liner panels are installed on one side, while two layers of 5/8-inch gypsum board are applied to the opposite side.
