A pre-engineered smoke baffle system mounts to fire-retardant treated wood blocking at the ceiling soffit. Anodized aluminum cladding conceals the mounting system, extending down to frame the smoke baffle with beveled and polished exposed edges. Paint is applied above the ceiling grid on the second floor.
