A concrete curb meets a concrete walk with a thickened edge, separated by a one-half-inch expansion joint. The curb features tooled one-half-inch radius edges and extends eighteen inches minimum to natural grade over aggregate base and asphalt concrete courses. One-half-inch expansion joints are provided at sixteen-foot maximum on center and at curve tangents and corners. Slab thickness, reinforcement, and subgrade preparation are coordinated with civil, soils, and structural requirements.
