This partition head detail connects a cold-formed metal stud wall with gypsum board to an existing wall to remain and perpendicular deck flutes above. A slip-type head joint accommodates vertical movement at the top of the wall. Pre-formed mineral wool wall plugs fill the gaps at the deck flutes, backed by continuous acoustic sealant. Sound attenuation blankets are installed within the metal stud cavity for acoustic performance.
