A cold pipe vent penetrates the roof structure through an 8-inch 18-gauge sleeve fastened to the roof structure. The roof system and insulation assembly, providing a minimum of R-20 insulation, supports a flexible flashing adhered and sealed per manufacturer specifications. A flexible membrane boot fits over the vent pipe with a stainless steel collar tie set in sealant. The perimeter is finished with termination sealant and a stainless steel clamp caulked per manufacturer recommendations.
