A structural steel column is centered on grid lines and surrounded by a two-foot-diameter concrete column protector. An eighth-inch steel permanent cylinder form encloses the concrete protector and is specified to be painted yellow. A half-inch expansion material separates the assembly where required. A hub drain is located adjacent to the column per plans.
