A floor transition at a door threshold occurs where a scheduled concrete finish meets a scheduled carpet floor finish. A rubber carpet edge strip secures and protects the carpet edge at the transition point. The scheduled door sits above the transition point. The concrete slab serves as the substrate for both the concrete finish and the carpet installation.
