A cold pipe vent penetrates the roof structure and insulation, passing through an eighteen gauge sleeve fastened directly to the structure. A flexible membrane boot is adhered and sealed to the roof system and pipe per manufacturer specifications. A stainless steel collar tie set in sealant secures the top of the boot around the pipe, with additional sealant applied at joints.
