This roof eave detail features slate shingles installed over self-adhering sheet underlayment and plywood roof sheathing. A stainless steel metal flashing with a drip edge integrates with a 1x synthetic wood cant, specified at four feet long typical with one-half inch spacing between lengths. The assembly bears on two-by wood blocking ripped to size, supported by two-by-six wood stud framing. High-density exterior foam molding finishes the exterior profile below the eave.
