A reinforced membrane is installed over rigid insulation and wood roof sheathing supported by wood roof trusses, with a lap joint secured by a fastener and fastener plate installed per the manufacturer instructions. A minimum one-and-a-half-inch lap and a minimum half-inch clearance are maintained at the membrane edge, sealed with continuous sealant applied per the manufacturer. The rigid insulation layer overlays the roof sheathing, which is coordinated with structural framing.
