A new two-by-six wood member is hung using a Simpson HU hanger at each end, fastened to the overhead framing. A quarter-inch screw eye with full thread embedment of one and one-quarter inches minimum secures the vertical hanger wires, support wires, and angled bracing wires. The bracing wires connect to three-by-four, two-by-six, or larger wood framing members.
