This drywall bulkhead assembly consists of five-eighths-inch gypsum board over three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs framed to meet an acoustical tile ceiling. Five-eighths-inch plywood backing is provided within the soffit to receive attached millwork. Metal edge trim is used at the exterior corners, finished with tape and compound.
