A structural splice for a top or bottom cold-formed steel track utilizes a nested twenty-four-inch minimum length piece of stud. The splice requires a minimum twelve-inch extension on each side of the track joint. Fastening is achieved using six gauge-six screws on each flange on each side of the splice.
