A commercial vanity and partition assembly anchors to a recessed concrete slab. A concrete masonry unit curb supports a two-inch by two-inch by three-sixteenths inch structural steel tube countertop support, shammed as required and secured with a five-inch by eight-inch by three-eighths inch steel plate with two expansion anchors embedded three inches minimum into a mortar bed. The assembly incorporates fluid-applied waterproofing, a metal cove trim set in a solid thin-set mortar bed matching the tile thickness, and a two-inch high by four-inch wide GFI outlet centered on the apron. Metal stud framing with five-eighths inch gypsum board and treated two-by-six wood blocking extends upward, terminating in a one-inch gap from the shelving frame to the metal ceiling framing with sealant and one-inch by one-inch by two-inch angle connections. A sixteen-gauge brake metal formed cap is button-punch secured to the steel frame, complemented by a one-quarter inch stainless steel frame and shelf welded flush with ground-smooth welds. Exposed steel plates and fasteners receive an epoxy paint finish matching adjacent surfaces.
