A concrete masonry unit partition bears directly on a concrete slab and is fully grouted with loose masonry fill. Vertical and horizontal reinforcement is installed as specified in the structural and CMU schedules, anchored with dowels extending from the slab. The wall achieves a 3-hour fire rating under UL design references U904 and U905.
