A stainless steel cable rail with a two-inch steel bar stanchion connects to a cut C12x20.7 steel channel stringer welded to a steel plate. The assembly includes a steel closure plate at the edge of the slab, with the stanchion welded directly to the steel plate. An underlying hollow structural section beam sits in the stair well and coordinates with the structural drawings. Dimensions indicate a six and one-half inch clearance from the edge of the slab plan.
