A one-inch electrical metallic tubing conduit acts as a compression strut for suspended ceiling systems beneath a concrete metal deck. The top and bottom of the conduit are crimped flat and fastened to the overhead structure and the main runner using two number twelve sheet metal screws typically. A one-inch wide by twelve-gauge minimum steel strap supports the assembly from the structure above with clip attachment details referenced to specific drawings. Splay wires brace the main and cross runners laterally.
