A metal stair assembly junctions with a concrete landing over metal decking. The stair stringer consists of a steel plate or channel framing past a closure plate between stringers. A steel angle frames around the concrete landing and bears against a steel channel sized per structural framing plans. Steel treads and risers tie into the stringer assembly with a two-inch clearance gap maintained between the stair carriage and the landing edge.
